What you’ll doThe Director, Regional Field Operations is the principal executive leading Verifone’s hardware deployment & repair, field services and the logistics, warehousing and inventory management related to the movement of hardware within the Latin American Countries (LAC) region of Verifone. This includes all countries within Central and South America. The executive will work cross-functionally within Operations and the Regional teams to develop, implement and enhance service offerings, service level commitments and execution methods to achieve such offerings & commitments.This role will manage the field services, deployment & repair and associated logistics for the LAC region. Key responsibilities will include: Adapt to their region, the integrated Field Operations strategy and tactical plan ensures a fast, reliable and seamless delivery of deployment and repair services to customers on a global basis. Such strategy / plan will include the movement (transport) of finished goods, required warehousing and inventory management of Field Operations required inventory.Develop network movement lanes that optimize the speed, time and inventory required: Starting from the contract manufacturers (where finished goods are produced) to warehousing, into and out of deployment centers, and then the return of inoperable finished goods and return of repaired / swapped operable finished goods.Forecast demand, secure supply and optimize inventory (minimize inventory) for required repair parts / accessories needed to support deployments and repair services.In conjunction with Field Operations leadership and the Regional sales teams, determine leading service level commitments required to support customers regionally. Support customer-specific service level requirements and dedicated repair/swap inventory programs.Develop a network of insourced & outsourced deployment and repair services providers that will meet lead-time and service level commitments. Continually work with insourced teams and 3rd party service providers to reduce deployment & repair costs per unit, while ensuring the attainment of lead-time and service level requirements.Develop a network of insourced & outsourced field services providers that will meet cycle-time and service level commitments as determined by the customer and/or Regional teams. Continually work with insourced team and 3rd party field services providers to reduce field services costs per unit, while ensuring the attainment of lead-time/cycle-time and service level requirements.Ensure a fully developed plan exists to provide Deployment/Repair and Field Services in every country within the LAC region in which a Verifone product is installed. Such plan is to be used by regional sales team to describe the full services available to any customer.Support and periodically lead the development of Field Operations services offerings to be presented to customers, to generate potential “purple box” revenue for Field Operations services.Engage expertise or develop expertise in Lean Manufacturing practices that will be deployed within deployment & repair centers to improve cycle times, reduce costs and generally make such practices more efficient. Expectation is the productivity of 5-6% improvement will occur every year.Ensure attainment of all key performance indicators (KPIs) on a monthly basis. Ensure monthly reporting of such KPIs (on both a regional and global basis) and that effective countermeasures are underway to improve KPI performance to goal levels.Ensure staffing levels, either insourced employees or outsourced, 3rd party service providers, are continually optimized and adjusted to maximize profitability of Field Operations, by ensuring labor costs are minimized while ensure service level attainment.Provide daily management to direct reporting team and occasionally down into the organization as is required. Ensure that leadership team is adequately skilled and prepared to manage their team to meet service level requirements and KPIs. What qualifications will you need to be successful Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or another related fieldMaster’s degree preferred but is not required5+ years of successful senior management experience; global experience is a “nice to have” but not required.5+ years directly managing / leading a manufacturing or field services or deployment/repair operations, preferably including multiple sites across the regionThorough understanding of manufacturing methods and ways to improve such methods for yearly improvement.Base knowledge of operational excellence and Lean tools (Six sigma degree is preferable) Additional Attributes: Demonstrated success in demonstrating strong customer service attainmentMust possess managerial courage, and organizational agility.Comfortable managing in a fast-paced, international organizationExperience managing demanding deadlines, changing requirements, and working with limited information.Ability to effectively empower others and delegate.Very strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.Strong leadership skills to manage teams in multiple locations.Proven analytical ability and problem solving to mobilize teams to achieve business outcomes.Hands on knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.Project management skills, ideally PMP certified.Experience in change management and ability to champion new ways of working.Fluent in English both written and spoken.Travel domestic (within region) up to 30% Our CommitmentVerifone is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
