Welcome to Alcoa!The role of this position is to ensure our Global Master Data for both Vendors and Customers remains accurate and up to date in our EBS Applications globally. Specifically, for Vendor data this includes adding, modifying and inactivating Vendors in a timely fashion. Governance is also key to this role, with the Global Process Owner (GPO) responsible for determining the setup rules / configuration within the application/s, and for driving standardization across the regions. This includes the process/es and rules to be adhered to when adding or maintaining Vendor information. With Vendor Maintenance being a high risk area in relation to fraud, the GPO is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the data, especially bank account information. It is critical the setup / configuration rules meet the needs of the business, ensuring the most effective/seamless end-to-end StP process flows are achieved. The candidate would also be responsible for the oversight of the Lease Accelerator administrator, customer set ups, item master data and the Oracle approval hierarchy maintenance.From a compliance perspective, ensures all legal requirements applicable to each country are understood and complied with, along with Alcoa’s ASAT (Alcoa Self Assessment Tool) and audit requirements.The major responsibilities include:Ensuring processes are in place, and followed, to guarantee our EBS VMF and Customer data in each region is kept up-to-date, accurate, and uncompromised.Developing & maintaining the MDM setup rules, configurations, naming conventions etc. to drive standardization and also meet the business needs.Keeping abreast of compliance/legal requirements, and ensuring those requirements continue to be met.Ensures all Master Data Management work instructions, procedures and key controls are kept up-to date.Drive self-service, automation and standardization, to deliver a well governed/controlled process, fully compliant and efficient, at the lowest possible cost.Continue to benchmark and search for best practices, develop business cases, and implement improvements / efficiencies. People Management – lead, motivate and develop the MDM team members to improve their competencies and capabilities, provide ongoing feedback and encouragement, deal with performance issues in an effective and constructive way, and help develop a high performing motivated team.Leading a team that supports a diverse customer base in Australia, Europe, Brazil, and North America with different languages, cultures and time zones.Effective Daily Management of People & Tasks – understanding current workloads, inherent peaks and troughs, allocate resources to achieve the best outcome without compromising safety, accuracy, or risk. Take effective and immediate action if any system/process issues are discovered, to minimize any negative impact.Lead and coordinate deadline related activities requested by direct or indirect report and ensure timely execution/delivery.Develop and maintain good working relationship with internal and external customers.Fulfill ASAT requirements and provide high quality service for the external and internal auditors in connection with any audit related queries.Fully supports any transition activities (including new acquisitions and divestitures)Ensure compliance to procedures, documented processes which are part of Alcoa’s quality system.Expectations:Education in Business or Finance or Supply Chain or Engineering.Professional English language capabilities and preferably additional European language skills.Minimum 3-5 years of business experienceExperience in Vendor Maintenance and strong knowledge of procurement and Accounts Payable processes.Customer focus, results orientation, problem solving capabilities, professionalism, collaboration, attention to detail are absolutely essential.Self-confidence, learning orientation, global awareness, judgment, interpersonal astuteness, initiative, tenacity are needed in position.Solid leadership and management skills.Confident knowledge of MS-Office programs.Alcoa encourages applications from women, a diverse group of backgrounds and those with different skills and life experiences.
