JOB DESCRIPTION Job Description SummaryThe Product Performance Manager will be responsible for leading the Americas region team accountable for engineering support of blades currently in production within LM and 3rd party manufacturing facilities. This team is responsible for providing 24/7 support of LM factories, executing product improvement activities to reduce cost of manufacturing, performing structure assessment for blades with non-conformances, and ensure new design/technology readiness for manufacturing.Job DescriptionRoles & Responsibilities·Direct People Leader to employees in Americas region working within Product Performance functional team.Responsibilities include employee performance review, salary & bonus planning, and employee career growth planning.·Alignment on resource allocation & priorities with Functional Team leaders to ensure on-time completion of projects.Communication to employees expected deliverables and direct link to business KPIs.·Strategic execution planning in close connection with LM sourcing, manufacturing and quality team members.·Ensure Production continuity with 24/7 support to Americas plants for all products (LM & 3rd party).·Drive Product Improvements to Reduce Cost of Manufacturing for current products.·Engage with NPI/NTI teams to ensure design readiness for manufacturing.·Build strong relationship with LM factory leadership to ensure alignment on resources to support cost & cycle time reduction initiatives and manufacture issue.·Coordinate activities with ONW team members to support continuous improvement initiatives for 3rd party manufactured blades.·Allocate engineering resources for Corrective/Preventative actions related to field issues in Americas region. Provide feedback loop to Blade Structural Design & Component Teams with respect to field issues. Required Qualifications: ·Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to development or manufacturing of wind turbine blades (Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent)·Minimum of 3 years experience in a people leadership roleDesired Characteristics·Extensive knowledge of wind turbine blade designs, materials, manufacturing & operations·A strong and inclusive communicator, able to remain focused on delivery and execution·Strong business acumen combined with international experience and cultural awareness covering Americas, Europe, India and China·Strong English language skill (verbal and writing)·Strong Program management skills.·Self-driven and self-motivated. Able to work in a matrix organization.·Project management experience and/or formal certification preferred.Note:To comply with US immigration and other legal requirements, it is necessary to specify the minimum number of years’ experience required for any role based within the USA.
